William Evans .600 cal double rifle.  The real deal, king of the big bores.  A pre-war .600 double, 26″ barrels, full rib, one standing, two folding, express sights, proofed for 100 grains cordite.  Bores are excellent, the rifling sharp and crisp, clean chambers big enough to put your thumbs in!  Massive Webley long bar action with third bite, locks like a bank vault!  Engraved about 80% fine English scroll, double triggers, extractors. Splinter forend, pistol grip stock of nicely figured walnut, with oval cheekpiece, measures 14-5/8″ over the solid red pad.  Truly impressive at 16-1/4 lbs.  Built as a back up rifle, the ultimate stopper!  William Evans delivered this rifle in 1910 to the assistant commissioner of the Uganda Boundary Commission.  The rifle was purchased out of Uganda in the 1960s.  Rare opportunity! ~SOLD~
