Rare W&C Scott 410 ga.boxlock ejector, 28″ barrels with raised machine matted game rib choked full and full. 2- 1/2″ chambers 7/16 oz nitro proof. The barrels bear the legend “W&C Scott & Sons Makers, 55 Victoria Street London England” address which was reserved for the London salesroom. This model 400 features Scott’s top screw grip bushed pins, double triggers and auto safe. Produced circa 1923 this true petite small frame remains in remarkable condition retaining virtually all the brilliant case colors. The barrels show all the original blue with some light surface spots showing, however they are minute and hardly noticeable. Bottom plate has all the factory mirror blue with some flaking on the trigger guard. Engraved along the borders and with a flourish of scroll surrounding the pins, screws and atop the fences. Splinter forend and rounded Prince of Wales grip of really well-figured French walnut shows nice black figure with contrasting waves of color. Flat top checkering and a wonderful patina of original finish, the wood to metal fit is perfect and free of any defects. Stock measures 1-1/2″, comb 2-5/8″ heel, 14-1/2″ LOP over the original ribbed butt plate. Perfect bores, locks up tight as new with strong in time ejectors. Weighing just at 5 lbs., one of only a very limited number produced and a true survivor in exemplary condition! SOLD
