John Rigby Best Quality 12 gauge, 28″ barrels feature game rib choked improved cylinder/improved modified (.005/.019), 2-1/2″ chambers.  The rib inscribed J.Rigby & Co. 43 Sackville Street London in Olde English.  Dipped edge lock plates and signature carved palm leaf fences distinguish this as the classic Rigby design.  Generous case colors provide a backdrop for      the action and locks engraved in the English acanthus traditional pattern.  Splinter for end and straight hand stock of highly figured French walnut with deep red color and rich black contrasting grain measures 1-1/4″ comb, 2-1/2″ heel, 15-1/8″ LOP over the original horn butt plate.  Double triggers optional “ejector/non ejector” as seen on Rigby’s double rifles.  Made for a prominent Philadelphia client and remaining in wonderful original condition weighs 6 lbs, 9 oz.
