The area known as the “Gun Quarter” was located around St Marys’s Birmingham .  A number Cross family gunmakers are  listed in the Birmingham trade from 1850 through 1900 .  The trigger pulls crisp, ejectors are strong, weighs 7lbs, 5oz. balanced just ahead of the pin.
