Greifelt 20 ga. O/U Grade No. 1, 28″ barrels with solid matted rib, 2-3/4″ chambers, choked full and modified (.027/.017).  The scalloped back action features fabulous deep carved floral and gamescenes of pheasant and quail, the remainder of the action engraved in fine arabesque.  Breech end of the barrels extensively engraved with acanthus and floral extending 3″ on the breech.  A true high art gun of the era.  This boutique gun company supplied VL&D and Abercrombie & Fitch with pre-war fine guns.  In the 1930s they were cataloged at $450!  Double triggers, automatic ejectors, the half-round pistol grip stock of highly figured old world walnut, matching three piece forend.  Stock measures 1-5/8″ comb, 2-5/8″ heel, 14-1/4″ over the original buttplate.  Barrels retain 98% original blue.  Action with 85% of the rich case color hardening.  The trigger guard nearly all of the original fire blue.  Weighs only 5 lbs, 12 oz.  Extraordinary pre-war, high-grade, over under!
