Cogswell & Harrison “Best” Hammergun, 30″ Damascus barrels, 2-1/2″ chambers.  Bar action sidelock completely engraved in fine foliate scroll,.  Percussion fences.  The hammers, of substantial size, add to the impressive style of this circa 1880s gamegun. Splinter forend with swing lever release, straight hand stock with high, modern dimensions (1-1/2″ comb, 1-7/8″ heel, 14-1/2″ LOP) should be just the ticket for rising birds.  The Damascus pattern of rich deep brown color and contrast are at about 100% finish.  The action retains a wonderful glow of patina and case colors.  Beautifully figured French walnut, a fabulous example in the original canvas case.  Weighs 6lbs, 14 oz.  Perfect for your vintage events! ~SOLD~
