Best Purdey Pair 20 bore game guns,  28″ barrels choked improved cylinder and half, chamber length 2 3/4″.   Absolutely fabulous pair of small bore Purdeys which were completed June 1967. The guns remain is superb condition retaining nearly all the original finish. Case color hardened actions  with brilliant case colors engraved in Purdey’s rose and scroll pattern. Double triggers (spring bladed front)  ejectors auto safe. The straight hand stocks of highly figured true French walnut measure 1-3/8″ comb, 2-1/4″ heel, 14-7/8″ over the 5/8″ leather pads.  Cast off about 1/2″ at the heel.  Weighing just  5 lbs 9-3/4 oz, they move like a wand.  Made for a Spanish nobleman they show the elegance and understated style for that made them the choice of royalty and the wealthy that enjoyed the sporting life.  The guns are in their original motor case with monogram matching the silver ovals.  An incredible opportunity to find a vintage pair of small bores in this wonderful condition.
